Bar Manager HighEnd Michelin Guide Venue
Location: Kingham Oxfordshire
Position: FullTime 4Day Week
Salary: 40000 approx. 6000 Tronc

An awardwinning Michelin Guidelisted modern British inn with 3 AA Rosettes celebrated for its sustainable dining and exceptional service is seeking a talented and passionate Bar Manager. Known for its commitment to locally sourced produce and exceptional guest experiences the venue is dedicated to delivering high standards of service in an elegant yet relaxed setting.


The Role:

As the Bar Manager you will be responsible for leading the bar team curating a wellbalanced drinks menu and ensuring exceptional service that aligns with the venues high standards. You will work closely with the frontofhouse and kitchen teams to create memorable guest experiences through expertly crafted cocktails fine wines and a thoughtfully selected spirits list.

A strong understanding of wines and pairings is essential as you will be expected to confidently recommend wines that complement the seasonal menu contributing to an elevated dining experience for guests.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daytoday operations of the bar ensuring smooth service and high standards.

  • Curate and maintain an exceptional drinks menu including cocktails wines and spirits.

  • Offer expert wine recommendations and pairings that enhance the dining experience.

  • Train and mentor the bar team promoting exceptional service and product knowledge.

  • Monitor stock levels handle orders and maintain strong supplier relationships.

  • Ensure compliance with health safety and licensing regulations.

  • Lead on bar events tastings and exclusive dining experiences.

  • Maintain a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests.


About You:

  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager in a highend restaurant luxury hotel or gastro pub.

  • Strong knowledge of wines and pairings with a passion for enhancing the guest dining experience.

  • Understanding of classic and contemporary cocktails wines and spirits.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire your team.

  • Highly organised detailoriented and committed to delivering exceptional service.

  • Understanding of sustainable and locally sourced products is an advantage.

  • WSET Level 2 or equivalent wine certification preferred.
