Job Description
Job Title: PEB Costing/Estimation Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 24 Years
Salary: 34.5 LPA
Qualification: BE Mechanical
Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled PEB Costing/Estimation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates analyzing project feasibility coordinating with vendors and optimizing costs while ensuring structural integrity and quality standards.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Cost Estimation & Quotation Preparation
Analyze project specifications drawings and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Develop detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and cost breakdowns for PreEngineered Building (PEB) structures.
Calculate material labor and overhead costs to determine the final pricing.
Prepare and submit competitive quotations based on project scope and customer requirements.
2. Project Analysis & Feasibility Study
Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate the costeffectiveness of different design options.
Coordinate with design and engineering teams to optimize costeffective solutions.
Assess risk factors and cost implications before finalizing estimates.
3. Vendor & Supplier Coordination
Obtain material pricing from vendors and negotiate for the best rates.
Work with procurement teams to source raw materials and components within budget.
Ensure timely price updates from suppliers based on market trends.
4. Cost Optimization & Value Engineering
Suggest alternative materials or design modifications to reduce costs while maintaining structural integrity.
Implement costsaving measures without compromising quality and project timelines.
Identify areas where cost reduction strategies can be applied.
5. Tender & Proposal Documentation
Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for clients.
Assist in tender documentation bid submissions and contract negotiations.
Review tender requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications.
6. Coordination with CrossFunctional Teams
Collaborate with the sales design and production teams to finalize estimates.
Provide technical support to the sales team during client meetings and negotiations.
Communicate effectively with project managers to ensure smooth of cost estimates.
7. Market & Industry Analysis
Stay updated with market trends raw material prices and industry standards.
Monitor steel prices and other construction materials to anticipate cost fluctuations.
Conduct competitor analysis to maintain competitive pricing strategies.
8. Report & Documentation Management
Maintain accurate records of cost estimates quotations and past project data.
Generate periodic cost analysis reports for management review.
Update databases with costing details for future reference and analysis.
Required Skills:
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficiency in cost estimation tools and MS Excel.
Knowledge of PEB structures materials and market trends.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in a crossfunctional team environment.
