Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Team Lead Urban Planning / Architect to spearhead urban infrastructure development initiatives under the Project Management Consultant (PMC) framework. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in urban planning architectural design and infrastructure development with a strong understanding of government policies master planning and urban sustainability practices. This role requires a visionary leader who can coordinate crossfunctional teams engage with stakeholders and drive urban projects from conceptualization to .
Key Responsibilities:
- Urban Planning & Design: Lead the planning designing and of urban infrastructure projects ensuring alignment with municipal regulations master plans and development policies.
- Infrastructure Development: Oversee projects related to transportation public spaces water bodies green spaces and civic amenities ensuring sustainable and resilient urban development.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with civil engineers landscape architects government officials and external consultants to ensure effective implementation of urban development plans.
- Policy & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with zoning laws environmental regulations municipal development guidelines and smart city initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with government bodies urban local authorities contractors and community representatives to drive project approvals and public engagement.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage project budgets allocate resources efficiently and ensure costeffective of urban development initiatives.
- Technical Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and review technical reports feasibility studies master plans and architectural blueprints ensuring all documentation meets professional and regulatory standards.
- Innovation & Sustainability: Integrate smart city technologies green building principles and climateresponsive designs into urban development projects.
- Risk & Quality Management: Identify potential risks in infrastructure projects and develop mitigation strategies to ensure highquality project delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Qualification:
- Master s or Bachelor s degree in Urban Planning Architecture Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Certification in Urban Development Infrastructure Planning or Smart Cities is a plus.
- Work Experience:
- Minimum 710 years of experience in urban planning architecture or infrastructure development.
- Prior experience working with municipal corporations smart city projects or governmentled urban development initiatives is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills & Expertise:
- Proficiency in GIS mapping AutoCAD SketchUp BIM (Building Information Modeling) and other urban design software.
- Strong knowledge of urban policy frameworks environmental sustainability land use planning and municipal governance.
- Ability to prepare master plans feasibility studies DPRs (Detailed Project Reports) and technical proposals.
- Soft Skills & Leadership Abilities:
- Strong leadership communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and lead diverse teams.
- Excellent problemsolving analytical thinking and stakeholder engagement skills.
