Palo Alto Networks has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Accounting Manager of Share Based Compensation to join our Technical Accounting and Reporting team. We are looking for someone with strong technical accounting skills who is a great collaborator and is passionate about delivering quality results and driving continual improvement in a dynamic highgrowth environment. The position will report within the Technical Accounting & Reporting team and will play a key role in our external reporting and sharebased compensation accounting close process.
Your Impact
Manage the sharebased compensation and equity accounting processes including transactional accounting close internal controls and financial reporting
Research accounting guidance from the FASB SEC and other regulatory bodies to evaluate the impact of complex sharebased compensation arrangements
Drive operational excellence by identifying proposing and leading process improvements to successful completion
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal control procedures
Prepare and review SEC filings (Forms 10Q 10K and 8K) and financial information in earnings release materials
Partner with crossfunctional teams on key areas of responsibility and assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications :
Your Experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent required
6 years of progressive accounting experience in the hightech industry preferably from a Big 4 public accounting firm and/or publiclyheld global technology company. Public company SEC reporting and SOX compliance experience is required
Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem resolution skills ability to manage priorities and adhere to deadlines in a fastpaced environment
Selfstarter who operates proactively with high attention to details and strong communication skills both written and verbal
Intellectually curious and is passionate about their subject matter expertise and emerging trends
Proactively seeks to improve processes and implement best in class solutions raise quality and productivity
High proficiency with MS Office and Google Workplace suites. Experience with SAP ECC Equity Edge Online Workiva Wdesk and/or Tableau a plus
Historical experience with operational and technical accounting for stock based compensation

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications experience and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level the starting base salary (for nonsales roles) or base salary commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $130000 $170000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
