We are looking for Versatile curious and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale.  As a Visa Software Engineer you will be an integral part of a multifunctional development team inventing designing building and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of powerful payment technology you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.   

The Work itself: 

• Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visas internal standards for scalability security and reusability 

• Collaborate multifunctionally to create design artefacts and develop bestinclass software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings 

• Actively contribute to product quality improvements valuable service technology and new business flows in diverse agile squads 

• Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including enduser merchants b2b and business to government solutions. 

• Focus on payments security

• Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services Transaction Platforms RealTime Payments and Buy Now Pay Later Technology

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates relevant technical working knowledge to understand requirements.

• Designs and develops enhancements and modifications to existing software. Guides the development of code that adheres to design specifications and meets security best practices.

• Proactively proposes automation solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of systems and tools. Supports the development and implementation of new automation identifying investments that will yield the greatest efficiencies.

• Engages with product engineering teams and product owners by leading code/design reviews hosting regular meetings and participating in oncall rotations and incident responses throughout the product development and operations cycles.

• Utilizes backend technical expertise on underlying systems/platforms analyses across teams to propose scalable improvements in code processes and designs with a focus on customer and business objectives.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications
10 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 8years of
work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)

Preferred Qualifications
Strong Knowledge and experience to develop backend using Java and
SpringBoot. Strong Knowledge and experience to develop backend using Java
and SpringBoot (Kotlin experience valuable willing to learn)
Deep Understanding of RESTful webservices and microservice architecture. 
Expertise at API development  set of routines protocols and tools for building
software applications that specify how platform components should interact 
Proficiency in writing maintainable code using TDD/BDD paradigms. Good
understanding of clean code principles SOLID KISS DRY Clean Architecture. 
Strong experience with Container Orchestration (Docker Kubernetes)   
Experience with application development lifecycle CI/CD 
Understanding and practice related with secure connectivity (mTLS Message
Level Encryption etc)
In plus: Knowledge about Encryption/Decryption method and tools (including
HSMs)
