Job Summary:

The primary focus of the role will be to work closely with internal teams and external partners to support and drive analysis strategy and execution of the Industry Development agenda. Strong analytical skills and end to end ownership is critical. This role will require working with other product areas strategy regulatory affairs public affairs legal technology operations and fintech centres of excellence as well as external engagement with industry associations regulators and vendors. The role is based out of London and reports to the head of Industry Development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and coordination of key Industry Associations relationships regulatory initiatives tracking and engagement strategy. A key focus will be on T1 settlement advocacy and industry engagement
  • Engage and assist the team in the analysis strategy recommendations and engagement agenda for key FMI and industry utilities
  • Analyse opportunities evolving out of the changing posttrade landscape and regulations to support development of products and partnerships with internal and external providers to roll out new digital products and services
  • Preparation and ongoing update of briefing papers with recommendations to senior management for project initiation or watch status
  • Leading coordination with relevant product industry development leads and SMEs to ensure complete and accurate information is collated to define project requirements
  • Working with product owners to ensure resources are applied to projects as key success criteria
  • Creation of key metrics to track progress of key industry initiatives creation of a reporting package to ensure management are kept aware of progress risks and challenges for specific projects
  • Engagement with clients through bilateral discussions and Custody publications on industry and regulatory developments impacting the post trade landscape

Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:

  • Selfstarter mentality and drive to learn fast autonomously. Ability to think out of the box
  • Good understanding or knowledge of the industry ideally gained from either within operations product management or the relationship / client service organization
  • Excellent organisational skills ability to drive internal and external stakeholders towards common objectives and deliverables
  • Knowledge of and keen interest in areas of digital innovation (e.g. Digital assets Artificial Intelligence) and how they can influence the provision of Custody / Securities Services.
  • Ability to quickly grasp concepts and have an understanding of the posttrade business and then be able to articulate them clearly and concisely
  • Commercially focused and able to understand the business drivers; experience in analysing data and putting together business cases is recommended
  • Previous experience of product management and the surrounding regulatory environment is a plus otherwise a demonstrable understanding of the core concepts of product management and regulations
  • Strong business analysis skills backed by the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong skills in using Microsoft Office tools to communicate and present.
  • Ability to use Machine Learning tools
