We are seeking a dynamic and resultsdriven Business Development Executive to join our team and support the growth of our Drug Product sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceuticals and CDMO services with an emphasis on development with a proven track record of driving business growth and building strategic partnerships.
The Business Development Executive Drug Product is accountable to the Sr. Vice President Business Operations and will establish new client relationships and build on existing relationships for Alphoras business offerings with the goals of generating profitable sales and strong client partnerships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify new business opportunities within the Drug Product space from sources such as databases publications market analysis trade shows and contacts.
- Contact and build relations with potential or existing clients to determine compatibility between their requirements and Alphoras capabilities.
- Plan and facilitate initial client visits of the Alphora sites new program kickoff meetings and postprogram review meetings.
- Prepare and deliver new client quotations in collaboration with the Business Quotations Manager as well as department heads.
- Read understand and negotiate agreements of sale CDA/MSA
- Transition new client to the Project Management and internal teams.
- Input data and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
- Prepare/update sales activity quote log and client trip visit reports.
- Contribute to the implementation of marketing initiatives including providing market information distributing materials and attending tradeshows.
- Develop and maintain a current understanding of Alphoras capabilities and capacity as well as the unique selling proposition.
- Develop and maintain a current understanding of the external marketplace (e.g. conditions trends and competitors)
- Maintain a current knowledge of sales and project management skills and techniques.
Qualifications :
Skills & Competencies
- Must have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Selfmotivated and comfortable generating new leads towards building the business.
- Strong knowledge in drug product including various oral solid dose and sterile fill finish.
- Strong Knowledge of the drug product CDMO ecosystem in north America and globally
- Ability to work independently to manage workload and priorities and to reprioritize as the changing situation requires.
- Ability to conduct competitive market analysis.
- Results focused customeroriented team player selfmotivated enthusiasm and adaptability to changing business requirements.
Education & Experience
- University degree in a biological science discipline or similar fields
- A minimum of 4 years experience working in business development strategy and sales in a CDMO setting preferably drug product
- Working knowledge of product lifecycle of oral solid dosage forms/sterile fill finish
- Track record in identifying assessing and advancing new business development opportunities.
