General Manager - Mercure Melbourne La Trobe Street (Pre-opening)

As General Manager you will bring strong operational leadership and commercial insight to create a highperforming team and successful hotel opening. Youll establish brand presence embed Accors values and ensure an exceptional guest journey from day one. 

In this role you will be responsible for: 

• Building a new leadership team and establishing full operational readiness for the hotels opening. 

• Leading the overall strategic direction commercial outcomes and daytoday performance of Mercure Melbourne La Trobe Street. 

• Driving revenue growth and profitability through sound commercial strategies including room yield cost control and service efficiency. 

• Managing and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders including owners guests local community and suppliers. 

• Creating a workplace that aligns with Accors Heartist culture and values. 

• Ensuring compliance with regulatory safety and brand standards while maintaining operational excellence across all departments. 

Qualifications :

A tertiary qualification in Hotel Management Hospitality Commerce or Business Administration would be highly regarded. 

About You 

To be successful in this role you will bring a strong leadership presence strategic acumen and deep understanding of hotel operations. 

You will also have: 

• Prior experience as a General Manager ideally having led a hotel through preopening or earlystage operations.

• Demonstrated success in achieving strong commercial outcomes and market positioning.

• A proven track record of building and nurturing highperforming teams. 

• Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills particularly with owners and partners. 

• The ability to implement and manage effective project plans operational systems and guest experience strategies. 

• A passion for delivering memorable guest experiences in line with the Mercure brand promise.
