SSI is seeking a TS/SCI cleared SETA Contractor Legal Support (Acquisition) to support our customer in Chantilly VA.
The contractor will provide legal research drafting and analytical support to the Office of General Counsel (OGC) in matters related to acquisition contracting fiscal law and procurement policy. The contractor supports OGC attorneys in performing their official duties but does not provide legal advice make legal determinations or otherwise perform inherently governmental functions.
Responsibilities include:
Conducts legal research regarding federal acquisition statutes the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) fiscal law principles and agencyspecific policies.
Drafts research memoranda annotated outlines and summaries to assist OGC attorneys in providing advice on acquisition strategy contract formation and administration bid protests and claims.
Prepares draft analyses of contract terms and conditions solicitation language and other acquisitionrelated documents to identify potential legal issues.
Assists in drafting preliminary versions of standard clauses statements of work (SOWs) and contract modifications subject to government attorney review.
Tracks legislative and regulatory changes impacting acquisition and fiscal law and prepares draft summaries highlighting relevant impacts.
