Cardinal Bayhas an excellent opportunity as we grow our team for anDirector of Resident Care Specialistto join our team who is forging a path to clinical excellence for the 11 communities we support in Texas and Oklahoma.Must be located within driving distance of the greater Houston area. Allremotework will be performed at a community or home office. Those willing to relocate must indicate that on their resume this position does not offer relocation benefits.
The Director of Resident Care Specialist under limited supervision is responsible for assisting the Cardinal Bay and 4K Housing communities with key resident wellness programs in assisted living and memory care communities. Provides guidance and leadership to community wellness teams regarding policies and procedures state regulations assessments and surveys. If RN will conduct RN Delegation classes as needed.

Monday Friday
8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Other hours include weekends and holidays as needed for oncall duties.
Areas of responsibility and associated tasks include but are not limited to:
- Will fillin as the Director of Resident Care for a community when there is a vacancy or leave of absence in the Director of Resident Care position. This may require longterm assignments to a community.
- Oncall duties for staffing and clinical needs.
- May need to assume the role of Resident Assistant or Resident Medication Aide to ensure consistent quality care is provided when assigned to a specific community longterm.
- In collaboration with Directors of Resident Care plan organize coordinate and support resident and employee needs across all clinical areas including assessment of new residents and medication programs.
- Ensure adherence to company policies procedures and standards regarding resident care customer service quality and confidentiality.
- Support all communities regarding compliance with and preparation for state surveys. Assist with any Plan of Correction needed.
- Perform compliance audits of resident and employee records. Report on any deficiencies to the Regional Director.
- Develop conduct and ensure compliance for all staff for required training related to clinical operations compliance.
- Monitors and ensures clinical performance and quality goals are maintained for assigned communities.
- Create analyze and present data and reports as relevant to clinical operations or requested by leadership for internal and external reporting and decision making.
- Conduct RN delegation classes for Resident Medication Technicians.
- Serve as Director of Resident Care as needed in the event of vacancy or leave of absence.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited LVN or RN program. Must possess a current unencumbered active license to practice as an LVN or RN in Texas.
- 35 years of management experience in senior living experience supporting multiple locations a plus.
- Must maintain valid continuing education credits as required by the state.
- Must have current CPR certification.
- Flexibility with changing priorities.
- Able to travel to communities frequently.
- Working knowledge of federal and state regulations governing assisted living and memory care including HIPAA.
- Proficient with electronic medical records including administration and reporting.
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills in fiscal clinical management strategic planning programming and staff development.
- Ability to work autonomously take initiative set priorities organize work and make independent decisions.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other functional areas at the regional and executive levels.
- Excellent communication skills including public speaking both verbal and written and customer service skills.
- Must be organized and attentive to detail.
- Must possess a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.
