Evenings weekends television distance education (i.e. Lanai and Molokai) and offcampus may be assigned as part of the regular workload.

This is NOT a remote position the job requires inperson work.

Duties & Responsibilities:
(**denotes essential functions)
  1. **Install maintain and repair the full range of analog and digital audiovisual equipment in use on campus and associated remote educational centers including but not limited to cable television video and audio equipment utilized for classroom instruction.
  2. **Install maintain and repair interactive distant learning technology equipment onsite and at outreach center locations
  3. **Assist faculty and staff in proper audio video equipment operation.
  4. **Create and maintain inventories of equipment and parts and keep records of**equipment on loan.
  5. **Supervise student assistants when available.
  6. **Configure and calibrate electronic equipment to industry protocols when necessary.
  7. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Professional Work Experience
  • Possession of a baccalaureate degree; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education knowledge skills and abilities as indicated.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Functional knowledge of principles practices and techniques in the area of Media Services demonstrated by knowledge understanding and ability to apply concepts terminology.
  • Functional knowledge and understanding of principles theories federal and state laws rules regulations and systems associated with Media Services.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize problems identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the area of Media Services.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation write reports and procedures and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations groups team members and individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated the ability to operate electronic tablets and apply web interface control related software and monitoring software.
  2. Ability to read electronic schematic diagrams for diagnostic repair.
