Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Payments to lead the strategic development and execution of payment processing strategies fostering strong relationships with key financial institutions and payment service providers. This role is responsible for identifying negotiating and managing partnerships to optimize payment performance drive innovation and minimize costs while ensuring regulatory compliance.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital payments and the evolving landscape in the online gaming sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with payment service providers acquirers and financial institutions to ensure seamless transaction processing and cost optimization.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive payment partnerships strategy
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of payment service providers card schemes and key financial institutions
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with payment service providers
  • Work crossfunctionally with Compliance Product and Technology teams to develop and implement bestinclass payment solutions.
  • Analyze payment performance metrics identifying opportunities to improve approval rates reduce payment friction and optimize costs.
  • Lead initiatives to introduce new payment methods including alternative payment solutions ewallets and cryptocurrency ensuring seamless integration and market alignment.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends regulatory changes and emerging payment technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Ensure full compliance with local and international payment network regulations antimoney laundering (AML) laws and data security requirements.
  • Drive process automation and system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.

Required Qualifications

Industry & Technical Expertise:

  • 7 years of experience in digital payments partnerships relationship management with at least 3 years in the online gaming sports betting or fintech industries.
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing systems acquiring banks and PSPs.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments with a deep understanding of payment network compliance AML regulations and PCI DSS requirements.
  • Proven ability to optimize payment acceptance rates reduce transaction costs and manage chargeback processes.
  • Experience working with payment technology solutions API integrations and system migrations.

Strategic & Analytical Abilities

  • Strategic thinker with a datadriven approach to problemsolving and decisionmaking.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in payment data analytics reporting and KPI tracking.
  • Ability to identify and implement process efficiencies and automation.

Stakeholder Management

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and negotiate across various departments and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with realtime payment processing and instant payouts.
  • Background in customer experience optimization for payment journeys.
  • Knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrency payments.
  • Familiarity with multijurisdictional gaming regulations.
