As a Patient Services Scheduler you will be responsible for scheduling confirming and managing appointments for patients ensuring smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers. You will also be responsible for handling inquiries maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring an efficient flow of operations in the healthcare setting.

LOCATION: Hybrid in office two days a week (scheduled to be determined)
TYPE: FullTime onehalf Saturday a month mandatory
RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Communication: Communicate with patients to confirm appointments explain office policies and address any scheduling concerns or changes.
Calendar Management: Maintain and update the doctors schedules to optimize time management and avoid scheduling conflicts.
Patient Intake: Gather necessary patient information for the appointment including insurance details medical history and other relevant data.
Record Keeping: Ensure patient records are updated and accurate including appointment times patient contact details and other relevant information.
Followup: Confirm appointments with patients via phone email or text prior to their scheduled time. Notify patients of any changes or cancellations.
Coordination with Medical Staff: Work closely with doctors and nursing staff to ensure patients needs are met in a timely manner.
Data Entry: Accurately input patient appointment information and other details into the scheduling system.
Customer Service: Provide excellent service by addressing patient inquiries offering rescheduling options and assisting with any concerns.
Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 12 years of experience in healthcare administration customer service or appointment scheduling.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service and a friendly demeanor.
Organizational Skills: Excellent timemanagement skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with scheduling software eClinical preferred.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail ensuring correct appointment details are recorded.
Problem Solving: Ability to handle lastminute changes cancellations and rescheduling in a calm and professional manner.
