Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Correspondence Specialist I is to resolve all borrower inquiries submitted via written correspondence received in the mail or by email submissions received in the Customer Service mailbox.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responds to all borrower inquiries via email ensuring high quality service and response within 2448 hours adhering to productivity and regulatory requirements. Researches customer issues and works towards resolution when needed. Updates servicing system with relevant notes/comments. Updates email tracking logs and ensures responses are met within designated timeframe.
- Responds to borrower inquiries received via mail and updates the correspondence tracking log accordingly. Ensures responses are provided within mandated timeframes. Updates servicing system with relevant notes/comments.
- Respond to borrower inquiries received via the complaint system and update servicing system with relevant notes/comments.
- Performs various data entry (address changes email address updates etc.) as needed.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- Call center or Customer Service/Customer Response experience preferred
- Experience with loan servicing a plus
Functional/Technical Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to problemsolving
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Experience working with Microsoft Windows applications
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest rates percentages ratios etc.
