Department of Elementary & Secondary Education Teacher License Severe/ Intensive or Mild/Moderate Special Needs certificationMust hold current BCBA certification Experience working with children with ASDExperience knowledge and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Discrete Trial Training(DTT) and the Picture Exchange communication System (PECS) Knowledge of Mass. Special Education regulationsTrained in Crisis Prevention InterventionSEI Endorsement RequiredDuties/Responsibility:Oversee and develop programs for each student on caseloadTrain and supervise assistants assigned to students on caseloadHold monthly parent meetings maintain consistent parent communication and/or develop/ supervise parent training Special Education Liaison for studentsEvaluate students and write assessment reports when appropriateDevelop IEPs and monthly progress reportsModify and structure curriculum for student successFacilitate small group and 1:1 instruction including Discrete Trial TrainingDevelop and implement behavior plans for each student Collect and analyze dataFacilitate inclusion in general education classroomCollaborate and communicate with colleagues and administrators regarding student needsProvide behavioral consulting services to students in the Milestones programProvide consulting services as needed to families of students in the Milestones programProvide consulting services to educators working with students who participate in the Milestones on a fulltime parttime or as needed functional behavioral analyses and assessmentsDevelop datadriven individualized programs for studentsDesign databased monitoring systems to evaluate student progress and program effectivenessPerform other duties as assigned by building administration and Director of Special Education
