Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented missiondriven professional to support our daytoday operations responding to solicitations on the Defense Logistics Agencys DIBBS system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and quoting parts managing supplier communications ensuring traceability and overseeing the logistics and documentation required for successful government contracting transactions.
This role is wellsuited for a U.S. military veteran or anyone with prior experience handling DLA/DIBBS bid responses and government supply chain workflows.
Responsibilities
- Identify and source parts quickly for DIBBS solicitations
- Submit accurate and timely bids (approximately 1015 daily)
- Communicate with suppliers and verify part traceability when requested by DLA
- Prepare purchase orders and confirm fulfillment timelines with vendors
- Generate shipping labels and manage inventory for awarded items
- Maintain proper documentation including traceability records COCs and supplier communications
- Respond to DLA inquiries and ensure compliance with solicitation terms
- Track bid history award status and update internal records accordingly
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with DLA/DIBBS required
- Knowledge of U.S. government procurement or supply chain logistics
- Experience handling documentation such as traceability certificates purchase orders or packaging labels
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using online systems and basic business software (Teams Excel email etc.)
- Military logistics or supply background a major plus
Preferred Attributes
- U.S. Veteran with logistics supply or contracting background
- Experience working with NSNs part number crossreferences or defense hardware
- Able to work independently and reliably on multiple deadlines each day
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate or salary based on experience
- Flexible work schedule (may consider parttime or fulltime)
