The following position is open: Quality Inspector I
At Custom Microwave Inc. A Vitesse Systems Company we design engineer and manufacture world class antenna solutions for satellite applications. Helping our customers put stuff in space is our specialty and we have a blast doing it. Which is where you come in: We have an opening for an outofthisworld Quality Inspector I.
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspections per all internal and external requirements and to support internal customers in need of inspection support. Are you ready to launch into an impactful and interesting role Were excited to work with you.
What Youll Do (Essential Job Functions):
People
- Act as a professional leader within the organization
- Be an effective communicator and leader within the QA department and throughout CMi
- Develop personal job competency through continuing education
- Be an apprentice to fellow professionals at CMi
Processes
- Implementation: follow all released processes related to inspection planning inspection and internal customer support
- Improvement: suggest improvement of QA Department and CMi processes in support of internal and external customers
Performance
- Inspection Planning: Plan basic manual CMM and Vision System inspections
- Inspection: Execute inspection plans for manual CMM and Vision System inspections
- Internal customer support
- Support internal customer requests for support related to inspection measurement strategy calibration and other related requests
- If assigned perform duties of Calibration Coordinator
- Administer recall and collection of Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
- Arrange for internal or supplier calibration purchase orders
- Inspect incoming M&TE and associated certification paperwork after calibration for compliance with requirements
- Apply marking to M&TE per internal requirements
- Other duties as assigned
What Youll Bring (Additional Knowledge Skills and Abilities):
- Ability to perform basic hand tool and surface plate inspections.
- Ability to interpret basic drawings and basic GD&T symbology
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work effectively with a team and independently as needed to support the group effort.
- Ability to perform basic hand tool calibration procedure desired.
- Basic reading writing computer skills such as log on data entry and retrieval.
- High attention to detail.
Your Experience (Minimum Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Higher level related degree may substitute for two years of related experience
- Preferred 6month experience with dimensional inspection.
- Ability to interpret basic drawings and basic GD&T symbology
- Experience preferred within a 3rdpartyaudited Quality Management System (ISO 9001 AS9100 Nadcap ISO/TS 16949 ISO 13485 ISO 17025 or similar)
- Must provide proof of US citizenship or permanent residency to comply with ITAR requirements.
- Ability to pass a drug screen per Custom Microwave Inc.s drug testing policy.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check per Custom Microwave Inc.s policy.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
The manufacturing facility is more than 56000 square feet. Workers may be exposed to loud noises chemicals and other occupational hazards; personal protective equipment may be provided by The Company and at request.
- Must be able to work at a computer workstation 50% of day.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery; repetitive motions include but are not limited to keyboarding and data entry operations.
- Must be able to intermittently stand and walk for longer than 30 minutes throughout the work shift.
- May require occasional utilization of stairs and/or ladder.
- May require occasional bending squatting kneeling and crouching to access work supplies.
- This position involves extensive internal and external communication; ability to utilize a phone and convey accurate information in person over the phone and through email.
- Must be able to see in artificial/fluorescent lighting.
- May require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Job Information:
This is a fulltime permanent position. This position is eligible for the employersponsored benefits listed under CMi is Proud to Offer. This position is considered nonexempt (paid on an hourly basis and is eligible for overtime pay).

Pay range: $19.00$26.00 based on qualifications and experience.
