This position 100% onsite- no remote work (in Torrance CA normally and Normal Illinois when traveling)

The Incoming Quality Inspector performs product inspections with magnified visual
tools and mechanical measuring devices to ensure product conformance to
requirements coming from the supplier. Inspector will review technical data
packages (e.g. certifications assembly instructions engineering drawings
schematics bills of material specifications etc.) to:
* Verify and resolve product configuration issues using bill of material and
kitting specifications
* Identify and assign rework actions necessary as part of containment and
inventory verification
* Conduct Product Acceptance verification for incoming parts work-in-process
and final approval
* Log reports and findings (defects) necessary to ensure accuracy of all Quality
records for traceability.
Skills:
* Candidates must be able to perform in a self-directed in a fast-paced working
environment
* Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrates proficiency in Windows MS Office Suite
* Have successful mechanical assembly experience
* Ability to effectively operate visual magnification devices (microscopes etc.)
* Ability to effectively operate and interpret basic electronic measuring
devices/gages
* Ability to effectively operate and interpret basic mechanical measuring
devices/gages
* Fine motor skill dexterity and accuracy
Qualifications:
* Any previous CMM machine operation experience is a bonus
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Basic math skills required
* Acceptable visual acuity and eye-hand coordination
* Certification for IPC/WHMA-A-620 a bonus
* Understanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls.
* Ability to review and interpret technical data packages for incoming
components
Physical Demands:
* Employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time reach
with hand and arm and talk or hear.

critical surfaces
