Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home
Location: Ashbourne
Salary: Up to 39000 per annum
Number of Sleeps Required: Variable to be discussed at interview
Pay Per Sleep: Generous sleepin allowance
Service: Childrens Home
Service Users: YPs (Young People) LD
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience in Years Required: 2 years in a similar setting
Employment Type: Permanent

The Home:

  • Number of Beds: 3 Bed

  • Location: Ashbourne

  • Type of YPs: LD

Who we are looking for

A passionate and experienced Deputy Manager who:

  • Has a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare

  • Is committed to completing a Level 5 Diploma in Childrens Residential Care

  • Holds a full manual driving licence

  • Has exceptional communication and leadership skills

  • Has a strong understanding of Childrens Homes Regulations 2015

  • Can positively lead a team and provide role modelling

  • Is resilient openminded empathetic and professional

  • Can manage shifts lead meetings review care plans and support staff

  • Is confident using positive behaviour strategies (e.g. PRICE techniques)

  • Can support or deputise for the Registered Manager when required
