Were looking for a good communicator who likes to be in a fastpaced environment. With a natural sense of hospitality the Food and Beverage Manager ensures that all meeting spaces lobby bar breakfast room and room service run smoothly. He/she takes profitability and adherence to the establishments standards to heart and theres nothing he/she enjoys more than a satisfied team and guests.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Ensure that all banquet events meetings lounge and breakfast operate successfully and are individually profitable
- Coach and train employees reflecting Groupe Germain service standards
- Provide guidance and support to the Assistant F&B Managers and team
- Schedule the Supervisory Team ensuring full coverage
- Assist Director of F&B in managing recruitment interviewing onboarding training development and performance management of the staff
- Conduct quarterly talent reviews
- Conduct quarterly departmental communication meetings
- Attend BEO Operations department head meetings as required
- Schedule staff and management according to business levels
- Maintain inventories and ensure equipment is in working order
- Ensure quality levels and maintain quality standards in production service and guest satisfaction
- Set upand maintain safe working conditions and practices
- Liaise regularly with other departments
WHAT YOULL BRING
- Minimum three years experience in a role with direct personnel supervision
- Proven ability to plan and organize events effectively with an acute sense of time management and attention to detail
- Excellent English verbal and written. A second language (preferably French) an asset
- Assertive professional and positive with proven ability to develop and lead in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills outgoing friendly persuasive personality
- Good understanding of current licensing and employment laws
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health andsafetyregulations
- Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
