Job Description

Synerfac is seeking a Tig Welder/Fitter to work the 3rd shift for our client in Newport News VA. Our client is a leader in custom precision Sheetmetal manufacturing on the East Coast.

The Tig Welder/Fitter will Fit and Weld sheet metal parts to the specifications of each job gathered from work orders customer drawings etc.. and ensure they meet the outlined requirements.

Responsibilities:
Welding components in flat vertical or overhead positions:
Using clamps to fit work pieces together accurately;
Examining work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with calipers straightedges templates etc. to ensure conformance with specifications;
Welding separately or in combination using steel aluminum stainless steel and other alloys;
Clamping holding tackwelding heatbending grinding or bolting component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding;
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions troubleshooting breakdowns performing preventive maintenance



3 years of Tig welding in a production/shop environment
Be able to read basic blueprints with knowledge of welding symbols
Have experience welding light gauge
Be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
