The Department of Athletics will support the university mission by developing and maintaining a topquality Division II intercollegiate athletics program that is committed to providing a positive and fulfilling academic and athletic experience for all studentathletes. As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) and the NCAA Division II CSU Pueblo Athletics plays a supporting role in the higher education mission while enhancing a sense of community strengthening our identity and playing a prominent role in enrollment management for the University.This fulltime yearround administrative professional position provides an Assistant Track and Field Throws Coach in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. The primary purpose of this position is to coach studentathletes in the throwing events including coaching team practices and competition developing studentathlete skills building understanding of the sport event and meet preparation and management teamwork and conditioning. A major role is mentoring studentathletes including academic support and advisement and providing skills training.
This position provides assistance in all phases of the track and field program. The duties include but are not limited to: assisting in practices workouts and meets; recruiting scouting scheduling coordinating travel monitoring player academics home track meets equipment and facility management assisting with home football games (set up/tear down) and other duties to be assigned by the Head Coach and/or Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships.
Other duties as assigned by the Head Cross Country and Track and Field Coach and/or Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships.
