We have an opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our specialist housing team based at Wellington Court Harbourne Birmingham with occasional travel to nearby schemes and Platform Housing offices when required.
The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for ensuring communal areas facilities and equipment are wellkept and clean to the agreed specification and standard. As well as this you will be supporting with the delivery of events and activities within the villages interacting with residents and responding to any queries and concerns.

This is a parttime role averaging 20 hours per week. Youll work 8am to 12pmMonday to Friday (we can offer some flexibility with these hours) ideal for someone whos looking to balance other commitments while making a meaningful impact.
*This figure is made up of your base salary of 13159 per annum and an additional payment of 282 per annum
What could you be doing
Undertaking communal cleaning duties ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
Reporting any wellbeing or safeguarding concerns to the Retirement Housing Officer team.
Liaising with colleagues and residents striving to deliver a right firsttime service for our residents within the retirement village.
Assisting as requested with the setup delivery and clear up for events activities and social functions.
Reporting repairs to colleagues in a timely manner to ensure the safety of colleagues and residents.
Some things we need from you:
Experience within a cleaning role would be desirable.
Knowledge of health and safety associated with cleaning; COSHH and use of appropriate PPE.
Customer focused approach and with the ability to show empathy.
Keen to deliver high standards with an ability to look to improve services.
Confidence using digital devices ICT software and systems.
An Enhanced DBS check is also required for this role.
Full UK driving license (desirable)
