FACILITIES OFFICER

The role

The Facilities Officer will support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the organisations physical infrastructure. Assist in ensuring the safe functional and efficient operation of all facilities equipment and systems to provide a comfortable and productive environment

Further the successful candidate will:

• Assist the Senior Facilities Manager with Facilities tasks including but not limited to:
  • Undertaking maintenance activities
  • Performing escorting duties
  • Ensuring compliance of contractor works including inductions work permits WHS obligations and Job Safety Analysis / Safe Work Method Statements
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders
  • Responding to facility-related requests and issues promptly and efficiently
  • Providing after-hours access
  • Providing general administrative support to the facilities team; and
  • Participating in facilities improvement projects as directed
• Participate on the Facilities on-call roster as required.
• Comply with legislation and Company policies processes and instructions including those relating to non-discrimination Health & safety Bullying Harassment Violence and Aggression and duty of care and the quality management system.
• Treat everyone with respect communicate regularly and openly with my manager and team and ensure all my decisions are made with fairness in mind.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

• 1-2 years experience in Property/Facilities management is desirable but not essential
• An understanding of Building Management Systems & asset and maintenance management systems (desirable)
• An ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ethical honest and trustworthy behavior
• Willingness to actively contribute to the development of a positive workplace culture and demonstrate behaviors that reflect company values
• Currently undertaking or recently completed a Diploma or Certificate in Facilities Management or a related field (desirable)
• Valid drivers license (desirable)
• Working at heights certification (desirable)
• Permit issuer certification (desirable)

A defence security clearance is required for this role applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level or have the ability to gain one

This is a 2-year Full time contract and we are flexible to look at applications for part time or full-time.
