Position Overview
The Dean of Culture plays a vital leadership role in creating a positive structured and engaging environment for students and staff. This role requires a leader who can build strong relationships implement schoolwide behavior systems and model high expectations for behavior accountability and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a strong positive school culture aligned with the schools core values.
- Lead the design and implementation of behavior systems rituals and routines.
- Support teachers in developing strong classroom culture and student relationships.
- Lead restorative practices conflict resolution efforts and student interventions.
- Monitor and analyze behavior data to identify trends and inform proactive strategies.
- Oversee arrival transitions lunch dismissal and other key parts of the school day.
- Collaborate with families counselors and support teams to ensure student wellbeing.
- Serve as a visible presence throughout the building and mentor students consistently.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred.
- 2 years experience working with high school students in urban or highneeds settings.
- Demonstrated success in managing student behavior and supporting school culture.
- Strong belief in restorative justice relationshipbased discipline and equity.
- Exceptional interpersonal organizational and leadership skills.
- Bilingual or multilingual a plus.
