Operational since 1999 Bengalla is in Muswellbrook in the Hunter Valley and supplies international markets with approximately 13 Mtpa.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Inspector to join our HME Planning Team. This is a permanent fulltime position as a Maintenance Technician performing the duties of an equipment inspector. This position follows the dayshift Lifestyle roster and reports to the Senior Maintenance Planner.

As a HME Equipment Inspector you will be a part of a pivotal team in the success of our preventative maintenance through:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify Work: Conduct inspections on HME equipment review open defects and condition monitoring test results and create new work requests as necessary.
  • Plan Work: Collaborate with HME Planners to assist with work order planning and provide detailed information on work instructions parts services and equipment needs. Stepping up into the HME planners role during periods of high workload.
  • Execute Work: Review work package information complete risk assessments and perform maintenance inspections in line with site procedures.
  • Record Work: Document work packages complete daily Review component tracking details and change out forecast identify improvements and cost saving initiatives.
  • Manage Parts & Services: Requisition parts and services needed for work as required.

Qualifications and experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Trade qualification (Plant Mechanic or HV Electrician)
  • Valid Australian Divers License
  • Mobile plant maintenance experience: Hitachi EH5000/EH4000 trucks Komatsu 930e/830e trucks CAT D11 dozers CAT 16/24 Graders CAT 777 water carts CAT 773/775 lube trucks CAT 994K Loader
  • High Risk Work Licenses (FL WP CN DG CS etc.)
  • Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency.
  • Previous exposure to a Maintenance Management system (preferably Pulse)
  • Proven commitment to safety
  • Focus on work quality and attention to detail.
