DescriptionAs a Desk Claims Investigator you will play a crucial role in the claims process by conducting thorough investigations of digital claims submitted to our organization. You will analyze digital evidence gather information from online sources obtain recorded statements and assess the validity of claims to ensure fair and accurate outcomes. This position requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze digital claims submitted for investigation including those related to online transactions digital services and digital submission of claim documents.
- Conduct thorough research and gather relevant information from various sources including databases social media and public records.
- Evaluate the validity of claims based on evidence and established guidelines.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations related to all investigated claims.
- Collaborate with claims adjusters legal teams and other departments to resolve complex claims issues.
- Maintain accurate records of investigations and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends regulations and best practices related to claims investigation and verification.
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Business Administration/Marketing Information Technology or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in claims investigation insurance or a related field is a plus with a focus on claims preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills particularly in evaluating evidence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using computer software and databases for research and documentation with a strong understanding of digital tools and platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
