The Battery Manufacturing Engineering team is opening new highways with our nextgeneration propulsion systems. Were investing over $50 billion to build some of the most technologically advanced EV manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and E.U. to produce the next generation of Ford electric vehicles. Responsibilities

What youll do...

  • Your previous experience in Battery and Cell manufacturing process shall serve you to analyze manufacturing feasibility / new product evaluation and requirement for existing production plant with minimal changes / Analyze and report manufacturing capacity in a various situation with strong understanding of cell (and module) process / cost workforce and time calculation.
  • Responsible for defining and managing the technical timing and budget of multiple projects
  • Document and track enablers and progress with internal departments partnered companies.
  • Develop and maintain primary project timelines
  • Drive action with internal & cross functional teams to successfully complete projects within time & resource constraints
  • Track project progress & report effectively on status blockers & changes to customer as well as internal senior management
  • Track project costs & drive cost management improvement
  • Your responses to questions and studies may express pros/cons of more than 1 solution.


Qualifications

Youll have...

  • B.S in Industrial Engineering Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or relevant degree
  • Minimum 5 years of highvolume manufacturing process support or development related experience. Experience in battery manufacturing is a plus.
  • Selfstarting selfdirected with extremely good influential organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong manufacturing background with heavy emphasis on production experience
  • Ability to travel for specific requirements (planned not a program position)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver by adhering to Ford Performance Leadership Behaviors/Methodology

Even better you may have...

  • 5 years of battery project management or Battery & Cell process evaluation experience
  • 5 years of battery cell or EV / HEV automotive industry
  • Strong understanding / experience on battery cell manufacturing process
  • Understanding of different cell processing requirements with different chemistry or cell form factors
  • A lateral transfer of an engineer within or experienced with Ford manufacturing if available
  • Experience interacting with senior leadership process engineering teams and plant production teams
  • Ability to work with and/or manage technical organization while maintaining morale and high levels of productivity
  • Selfstarting selfdirected with extremely good influential organizational and interpersonal skills

This position is a range of salary grades 7 8 .
