ValleyWide Health Systems Inc. is seeking a detailoriented and motivated Facilities Coordinator to assist the Director of Facilities in ensuring a safe compliant and wellmaintained environment of care across our facilities. This position is integral to upholding regulatory compliance and operational efficiency in our healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Perform inspections and maintain records in compliance with Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Health Centers (AAAHC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards
- Monitor and document emergency systems including emergency lighting fire extinguishers fire alarms emergency generators and fire suppression systems
- Schedule pickups and maintain chainofcustody documentation for biohazardous waste disposal
- Schedule and supervise thirdparty snow removal vendors ensuring adherence to ValleyWide policies
- Serve as a secondary liaison to janitorial service vendors; conduct periodic facility inspections and communicate with management staff to ensure service compliance
- Act as the primary liaison to biomedical engineering firms ensuring timely service and documentation
- Support the Infection Control Nurse/Safety Coordinator in planning and conducting fire drills
- Track incoming service requests assess priorities and dispatch appropriate departmental resources
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates degree in a related field or equivalent experience in construction or facilities management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities management maintenance or construction
- Knowledge of AAAHC and NFPA standards and the ability to apply them effectively in a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of how physical space impacts quality healthcare delivery
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Outlook etc.)
- Demonstrated attention to detail and high standards for compliance
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Selfmotivated flexible and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
