Your New Role...
This role will focus on the presentation scheduling of our sporting events across our WBD Sport and Entertainment networks. In a fast changing and dynamic environment of live sport you will work with multiple teams across the full end to end of broadcast and be responsible for the planning and delivery of accurate and compliant playlists to playout.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Break modelling programming on our TNT Sports UK & Ireland and Eurosport Nordics networks. Liaising with commercial and programming teams to ensure breaks are accurate and meet the commercial and production requirements of the sporting event.
- Developing and coordinating live event break structures for UK based productions in accordance with multinetwork production requirements. Identify opportunities to maximise commercial inventory and react to requirements of new events and formats.
- Assisting the Broadcast Producers with the ontheday management of live events including supplying advanced contingency playlists and alternative broadcast plans.
- Reacting to changes in running order programming strategy and adjusting the schedules accordingly. Delivering transmission playlist updates and manual changes in accordance with set procedures ensuring broadcast reliability.
- Daily onair scheduling liaising with interritory and UK departments to ensure a fully optimised and compliant playlist.
- Schedule onair look in accordance with channel and slot branding.
- Manage delivery planning and booking of international advertising and sponsorship campaigns working alongside our international adsales teams.
- Coordinating with program planning international and local ad sales production and transmission teams to follow up any onair or technical issues related to scheduling.
- Daily reconciliation of channel asrun data. Validation of previous days broadcast before external reporting.
- Assist in the testing and implementation of new software development upgrades and workflows as required by the Management Team.
- Assist and support other teams within the department with various adhoc tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Experience in free to air/commercial onair scheduling is beneficial.
- Experience of sport scheduling & live broadcast and/or a keen passion for sports.
- Good knowledge of the scheduling system Whats On or equivalent system.
- An understanding of the endtoend broadcast chain.
- Good knowledge of break optimisation and marketing strategies is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Ofcom BLM Arcom & other European Regulatory bodies.
- Selfstarter highly motivated and a good team player.
- Capable of decision making and maintaining high performance while working under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships within an organisation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
Hybrid Working This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model that combines remote and inoffice work following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
