Tree Inspector

About the role:

As a Tree Inspector youll play a vital role in keeping Wirrals trees safe healthy and thriving. From conducting regular safety inspections to contributing to planting initiatives and strategy development this is a varied role where you can make a real impact.

You will work closely with our Tree Risk Management Team to:

  • Conduct cyclical inspections of trees for safety and stability.
  • Record tree attributes and recommend maintenance works.
  • Support the development of tree management policies and strategies.
  • Communicate with residents and interest groups regarding tree maintenance.
  • Monitor tree works quality and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Contribute to afforestation targets and improvement projects.

About the candidate:

We would like to hear from you if you have the following:

  • NVQ Level 4 in Arboriculture
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Strong knowledge of BS 3998 and treerelated legislation
  • Experience using tree inventory and GIS systems
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of bat/protected species legislation
  • Experience in local government
