The Role
Were looking for a sharp strategic and handson Controller to help lead our accounting function through an exciting phase of growth. This is a highvisibility role for someone who thrives in ambiguity rolls up their sleeves and can independently own complex initiatives from start to finish. Youll be instrumental in strengthening our monthend close reporting audit readiness treasury operations and regulatory compliancewhile also partnering closely with our FP&A team to bridge actuals with forecasts. You wont just manage processesyoull help build and evolve them. This is an opportunity to leave your fingerprint on the financial backbone of a company scaling quickly with future paths to team leadership and broader finance ownership as we continue to grow.
This position is based in our brand new NYC office on a Hybrid basis (minimum 3 days a week in the office).
Core Responsibilities
This role will be 80% accounting 20% finance. Youll lead core accounting functions while also contributing to FP&A and strategic finance. Expect to be in the weeds and at the table.
Lead and manage all aspects of the accounting function including monthend close audit prep and financial reporting
Own key areas such as working capital management treasury and regulatory compliance
Partner crossfunctionally with FP&A to bridge actuals with forecasts and budgets
Roll up your sleeves on strategic finance projects M&A prep or ad hoc executive asks
Help implement scalable processes and systems as the business grows
Take ownership of projects endtoend with minimal oversightthis is a highautonomy role
What We Value (Qualifications)
8 years of accounting experience including time at a Big 4 firm
CPA certification
Experience in both public accounting and inhouse industry roles
Ability to operate autonomously think critically and adapt quickly
Excellent communicator who can collaborate across departments in a flat fastmoving org
NicetoHaves:
Experience in healthcare insurance or other regulated industries
Background in both startups and large companies
Exposure to FP&A strategic finance or investor reporting
The salary range for this job opportunity is $200000 to $260000 per year which is the amount Angle Health anticipates paying for this position at the time of this job posting. The actual base salary offered may differ and will depend on various factors such as geographic location skills qualifications and experience as well as internal equity.
