Job Purpose
The Youth Homes Driver supports Rawhides mission by safely transporting youth and families to and from appointments visits and Rawhide locations. This casual as needed role (010 hours/week) ensures the comfort and safety of passengers while following designated routes and transportation protocols. The Driver plays a vital role in maintaining daily operations and communicating with staff via email and text for schedule coordination and reporting.
Job Responsibilities
- Comply with all traffic laws and Rawhide safety policies to maintain a safe transportation environment.
- Conduct vehicle checks before and after each trip and complete all required documentation (e.g. passenger logs timesheets incident reports).
- Support risk management by reporting unsafe conditions or accidents immediately.
- Maintain passenger comfort by adjusting environmental controls and supporting behavioral expectations.
- Demonstrate professionalism and a supportive attitude toward youth and team members.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with youth or in a transportation role preferred.
- Valid drivers license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via phone text and email.
- Strong awareness of traffic laws and youth passenger safety protocols.
Working Conditions
- Casual position: 810 hours per week
- This role involves sitting for extended periods assisting passengers and occasional lifting or bending.
- Physically able to meet the demands of the position including providing therapeutic physical restraints.
- Driving in varying weather and traffic conditions required.
