We are looking for an enthusiastic friendly resilient individual to join our team at Melksham Library working 14 hours per week across a 2 week shift pattern to help provide a highquality service for our customers.
As Library Assistant you will help customers with queries help them to find books and information and support them with IT. You will take part in childrens activities such as rhyme time and events/activities for adults stock work supporting volunteers and partners and other varied tasks. No two days will be the same and youll need to be ready to deal with the unexpected!
You must have at least five GCSEs including English and Maths at grade AC or equivalent and good use of ICT. Previous library experience is not essential as we will train you in all aspects of library work. Excellent customer service skills or the ability to demonstrate you can provide them is essential.
Work pattern for this role is:
Week 1: Tuesday 10am 5pm Thursday 10am 2pm
Week 2: Tuesday 10am 5pm Thursday 10am 2pm Friday 10am 2pm and Saturday 09.30am 1.30pm
