About the role:
We are currently seeking a passionate Camera Operator/Editor to join our team. Reporting to the State News Director you will be responsible for shooting and editing high quality stories for news and updates. Working in a regional newsroom is an opportunity like no other it is truly a rewarding experience where you will get to shoot all rounds of areas such as the environment sport politics you name it you have the control to make a difference within the community. This is a fulltime position working Monday to Friday based at our Mackay office.
About you:
To be the successful candidate you will have:
- Demonstrated skills with both camera operation and editing
- Experience shooting interviews sport and community activities
- A high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to operate productively in a team environment contributing positively to our operation and to working relationships
- Ability to contribute ideas and to demonstrate initiative and flexibility
- Positive work ethic with ability and willingness to learn new systems
- High level of creativity with the flair to see a news story
- Unrestricted drivers licence essential
