The School Psychologist is responsible for providing onsite psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district. This position is located near Colorado Springs. The contract will be for normal school hours (37.5 / week) paying $63 /hour locally and $2644.25 weekly for travelers. The contract is for the 25/26 School Year. Ideal start date is August 4th. Must have a Colorado SSP or TEE License with a School Psychologist endorsement or be willing to receive it. Licensure assistance may be available to those who qualify. Colorado offers a unique blend of professional growth and natural Duties and Responsibilities: Completes multifactored evaluations (initial and reevaluations) in compliance with state regulations within a designated time frameConducts prereferral consultation/ students response to curriculum modificationsServes as an instructional intervention specialist who plans intervention and individual educationPerforms Psychoeducational assessments Consults individually or in groups with students and/or parents or other personnel on matters relating to the education and mental health of the students to ensure the development and provision of the most appropriate education programParticipates in ongoing training/inservicing related job with teachers and other team members on an ongoing basisServes as a technical assistant for the support of implementation of RTI in the assigned schools (if applicable)Conducts an evaluation of each student assigned which shall include but not limited to:Conducting prediagnostic meetings in order to determine scope and sequence of needed evaluationsInterviewing the student o Observing classroom behaviors Consulting the students parents and teacher(s) Reviewing the students academic history and current educational functioning Conducts psychoeducational evaluations of the childs learning process and level of educational achievement Administers specialized evaluations specific to the nature of the childs problems Conducts Functional Behavior Analysis for student if required Helps create Behavior Intervention Plan for student if required (consultation with team members required) Attends prereferral and screening team meetings in buildings assigned Enters information regarding the psychoeducational evaluation on CRT at least 24 hours prior to the extended IEP team meeting (as applicable per client/state requirement) Participates in the extended IEP team meetings and other such procedures as necessary including manifestation determination review meetings As part of the team determines the nature of a childs problems through a full case study evaluation Attends PAEC meetings completing psychological evaluation reports and scheduling/chairing prediagnostic meetings (PDMs) Participates in other duties based on the needs of students and programs. These may include teacher inservice counseling screening of students (preschool etc.) parent groups supervision of interns research of ongoing programs and development of new programs Maintains client information in a secure and confidential manner consistent with client and local procedures as well as guidelines set forth by the State and State Board of Psychology Minimum Requirements: Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred Masters degree in psychology preferred Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice Participation and completion of Amergis Competency program when applicable Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire PPD or chest xray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal state and local requirements Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including but not limited to supervisors coworkers clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required Computer proficiency required Must be at least 18 years of age
