Job Title: RF/Microwave Design Engineer (Hybrid)

Job Type: W2 Contract
Background/Need:
The Group focuses on accelerating quantum computing and sensing with ion and solidstate systems. Core areas of the Group include fundamental quantum science guiding next generation advances quantum devices (ion computing testbeds precision clocks magnetometers and other quantum sensors) and quantum systems such as magnetic assisted navigation and quantum microscopes for supply chain security.
Responsibilities:
Designs develops and tests analog radio frequency (RF) and microwave 1 10 GHz) circuits components and systems.
Architects and designs advanced oscillator systems.
Participates in electrical design tasks including outlining requirements circuit design and analysis circuit simulation and component selection.
Oversees and directs board layout and production of circuits.
Performs testing and troubleshooting of RF circuits and subsystems.
Must Have:
Active Microwave Circuits.
RF and Analog Systems.
Proficiency in Microwave Office or ADS.
Proficiency in Mentor or other circuit layout software.
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field. In lieu of a Ph. D. candidates with an MS degree and 5 years experience as well as candidates with employment experience demonstrating an equivalent proficiency in both theory and practice will be considered.
Nice to Have:
Experience in discrete oscillator design strongly preferred
Experience in lowphasenoise oscillator design is particularly beneficial.
Familiarity with Ansys HFSS or similar finite element software strongly preferred.
Education & Experience: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field. In lieu of a Ph. D. candidates with an MS degree and 5 years experience as well as candidates with employment experience demonstrating an equivalent proficiency in both theory and practice will be considered.
Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
