This is an exciting 6 month contract opportunity for a highly intelligent and passionate Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering Technology Data Team. You will deliver a Roadmap for People & Culture as a start for Business Initiatives and supporting the entire Data Platform build.
What youll do
- Implementing Concepts of Data Engineering framework within GCP Cloud using the Data Mesh Architecture framework
- Design and implement the Data Warehouse using ETL/ELT frameworks
- Build and refine job automation and orchestration for pipeline to handle exception handling rerun jobs fault tolerance retrospective logging alerts notifications etc.
- Develop processes for handling batch and streaming data
- Build compatible target data state to include compatible schema design catalogue data modelling acceptable for consumption via APIs Client and analytics
- Provide data usage pattern for analytics API and other consumption patterns from target data store
- Build target state data publishing and visualization and integration
- Building or use of AI/Machine Learning prototype for implementing and supporting existing algorithms
- Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles across the data assets. Also define and execute different delegate roles as needed
- Implement IAM and DLP datasetlevelaccesscontrols in target data store
- Build an CICD automation pipeline facilitating automated deployment and automated testing
- Deliver end to end comprehensive documentation along with code samples
- Provide Data Analytical Teams support for ease of use to build further Analytical Data Models Analysis or insights using different tool sets
Qualifications :
- Relevant Degree Computer Science Computer Engineering Software Engineering Data Engineering
- Excellent SQL skills Big Query
- Intermediate expertise with Google cloud based platforms
- Demonstrated working knowledge in Python you will be able to write elegant and well documented code in Python
- Demonstrated understanding in data structure and algorithms
- Knowledge and Concept of Data Warehousing methodologies
- Any experience with HR Data would be highly regarded
- Any Reporting tools experience Tableau or Looker/Power BI
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
