Job Description

This position is a handson contributor responsible for building and optimizing lifecycle marketing campaigns across one vertical pod (Insurance SMB Home Personal Finance or Growth) at Forbes Advisor. This role combines technical execution A/B testing and data analysis with a strategic lens toward monetization and user experience.

 

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of HTML email structure JSON formatting CRM campaign tools and endtoend QA processes. This is an opportunity for someone who can operate both tactically in campaign systems and strategically in aligning messaging to monetization outcomes.

 

Key Focus Areas:

Journey & Campaign Execution:

    1. Build and deploy email and SMS campaigns using HTML templates WYSIWYG editors and JSONbased dynamic content structures.
    2. Manage campaign QA endtoend: verify content segmentation dynamic logic event triggers and link tracking.
    3. Troubleshoot rendering issues across devices and inboxes; partner with Design or Engineering as needed.
    4. Use event logs and platform tools to debug audience or eventbased logic issues.
    5. Maintain QA documentation and tagging standards to ensure clean and auditable campaign records.

A/B Testing & Performance Optimization:

    1. Design and execute A/B tests on subject lines layouts content blocks segmentation and send times.
    2. Set hypotheses and determine testable variables that align with CRM objectives.
    3. Track and report campaign performance using dashboards and spreadsheets.
    4. Extract insights from test results and recommend actions for journeylevel optimization.

Data Handling & Audience Management:

    1. Build and manage audience segments based on behavioral demographic and transactional data.
    2. Collaborate with Product and Data stakeholders to ensure events and attributes are flowing correctly into CRM.
    3. Use eventbased logic to control journey flows message timing and dynamic personalization.
    4. Understand the structure of event schema and how to translate business logic into CRM campaigns.

CrossFunctional Support & Collaboration:

    1. Partner with Editorial Design and Product to bring CRM journeys to life with cohesive copy creative and CTA strategies.
    2. Represent CRM perspective during crossfunctional reviews and QA sessions.
    3. Provide insight into campaign performance and CRM engagement metrics in team or stakeholder meetings.

 

Tools & Technical Requirements:

  • CRM Platform: Iterable (or equivalent: Braze Salesforce Marketing Cloud Klaviyo)
  • Languages: HTML (emailfocused) JSON (for dynamic content and event schema)
  • Tools: Postmaster Everest (email deliverability) Google Sheets Google Analytics
  • Other: Familiarity with email accessibility best practices responsive design concepts and email rendering tools.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with scripting languages or templating logic (e.g. Handlebars).
  • Exposure to schema debugging tools API documentation or basic SQL.
  • Experience integrating CRM with 1stparty data platforms or analytics tools.
