Job Description
- Apply corrosion protection treatments and products to aircraft structures during assembly.
- Perform general and detailed cleaning of aircraft interiors and exteriors including confined spaces.
- Use approved chemicals and manual or powered tools (e.g. scrapers wipes) to clean surfaces.
- Monitor confined space operations as an authorized safety attendant.
- Install protective coverings using approved methods and materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in LEAN manufacturing activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production flow and aircraft readiness.
Qualifications :
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to successfully complete required Airbus training programs
- Vocational training in corrosion prevention or surface preparation
- Handson training from prior employers on application tools and method
- Minimum 2 years of experience with corrosion prevention surface preparation or industrial cleaning ideally in aviation manufacturing or MRO (Maintenance Repair Overhaul)
Skills & Competencies
- Familiarity with corrosion protection techniques and cleaning agents
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and safety procedures
- Confined space entry and monitoring knowledge (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to follow LEAN principles and contribute to process improvements
Physical Requirements
- Vision: Ability to read screens labels and instructions; visually inspect aircraft surfaces
- Hearing: Ability to hear safety alerts warnings and verbal instructions
- Speaking: Able to communicate clearly in person and over communication devices
- Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs (14 kg); carry items up to 20 lbs (9 kg)
- Pushing/Pulling: Occasional shop floor movement of parts/tools
- Standing/Walking: Prolonged standing and walking on shop floors sometimes on uneven surfaces
- Squatting/Kneeling: Occasionally required during cleaning or surface prep tasks
- Travel: Minimal
This is a contract position with no guaranteed end date. Duration may be extended or shortened based on business needs via Segula Technologies
Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
