Job Description

To support the Procurement Production Team and the project procurement teams in all activities associated with eTendering and the delivery of the procurement transaction. The M400/ M500 Procurement Support assists in the production of tender documentation ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and assisting with the management of purchase orders. The role holder is pivotal in ensuring that all requirements align seamlessly with the operational goals and safety standards.

 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Work as directed by the Procurement Production Manager providing assistance on a daytoday basis in the procurement processes 
  • Provide support to the procurement process and the operation of the eTendering software
  • Assist Procurement Leads and Technical Authors in the production of the procurement documents.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies procedures and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate procurement documentation including purchase orders contracts and supplier records.
  • Facilitate collaboration and integration among multidisciplinary programme teams.
  • Ensure compliance with planning and procurement policies across all related project activities.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement taking advantage of opportunities as they arise.
  • Assist in the generation of regular reports on procurement activities supplier performance and project status for management review.
  • Work closely with Procurement Leads and the Procurement Production Manager  and other stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide support as required.
  • Cooperate with colleagues in all matters relating to health and safety always following safe working procedures.
  • Act as a role model for companys vision and values behaving in ways that align with Ways of Working and encouraging and supporting others to do the same.
  • Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality integrity and availability of corporate information preventing unauthorised disclosure modification or destruction and never knowingly putting information systems at risk.
  • Perform additional tasks activities or other duties as may be required or assigned as part of the role.

 

Experience Skills and Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in a similar procurement support role.
  • Experience dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation providing support to project delivery and reporting.
  • Experience supporting the implementation of quality management and process improvement practices and systems within the construction sector.

Qualifications :

Formal Education Qualifications

  • Level 8 Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) 
  • Level 9 Masters in relevant field would be advantageous (or equivalent masters)

 

Professional Memberships

 

  • Chartered member of a relevant professional body e.g. Chartered Engineer (MICE IEI or equivalent)
