Job Description
How Youll Make an Impact:
- Manage food service operations while leading a dynamic culinary team
- Provide oversight of multiple food outletsincluding resident dining/longterm care dining retail/vending
- Oversee cost control and budgeting
- Hire train and develop culinary team
- Use creativity in menu planning
- Drive a standard and consistency in food and food service delivery
- Create a safe inclusive workplace environment
- Build and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship including high levels of client and customer satisfaction and account retention; strong interpersonal relations; and foster a strong safety culture
Qualifications :
What Youll Need to Succeed:
- Red Seal certification
- Solid understanding of nutrition including dietary needs in senior living and longterm care environments
- Knowledge of texturemodified meals thickened fluids and special diets
- Proven success in managing food services operations in a busy setting
- Minimum 5 years experience in a culinary leadership role
- Strong team building mentorship and coaching skills
- Menu development experience
- Customer service oriented
- Experience working with seniors is an asset
- Familiarity with unionized environments and working with diverse cultural teams
- Knowledge of multiple international cuisines
- Highend dining and catering experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial information related to food menu and labour costing
