The PR & Media Relations Officer strengthens corporate reputation across Southeast Asia by leading media relations building relationships with key influencers and developing communication programs to enhance brand awareness and crisis preparedness.
Media Relations:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive media relations strategy to secure placements in print broadcast and online media across the region.
- Establish cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists editors bloggers and industry influencers in the food agribusiness (livestock aquaculture pet food) and agriculture sectors.
- Pitch story ideas craft press releases and manage media inquiries.
- Proactively monitor media coverage and industry trends providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Develop and deliver media training programs for internal teams with a specific focus on crisis communication.
Brand Reputation Management:
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager to develop and implement communication strategies that support brand objectives and build a positive corporate reputation.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of consistent brand messaging across communication channels including internal and external communications promotional materials among others.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent brand messaging across all communications.
- Monitor effectiveness prepare reports and use of data & insights to help enhance our future campaigns
Internal Communications:
- Develop highimpact compelling stories that resonate with target audiences
- Develop and maintain the Crisis Communication Plan to ensure effective response and communication during critical situations.
- Create media training programs for internal teams with a specific focus on crisis communication to ensure all spokespersons are prepared to effectively represent the company in media interviews.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Provide guidance to the team with PR and Media preferably with experience in multinational companies specifically within panAsia or Southeast Asia regions.
- Serve as the lead point of contact for media inquiries and other communication matters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including other departments business units and industry associations.
Qualifications :
- Must possess a Bachelors degree in Communications Public Relations Journalism or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of professional experience in the related field with a proven track record of securing positive media placements.
- Strong command of the English & Filipino languages both written and oral.
- Able to write clear concise and grammatically correct communications
- Experience in developing and implementing communication plans including crisis communication strategies.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with media and other stakeholders.
- Willing to travel
