Pay Plan
This opportunity is exempt and on Pay Grade #14.The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade.Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.
Hiring Range:MinMidMin$61727 ($29.68)
Mid$75602 ($36.35)
Max$89499 ($43.03)
Experience
Bachelors Degree in Parks and Recreation Kinesiology Exercise Science or a related course of study
3 Years experience in a recreational environment including the coordination of recreation programs leadership customer experience and administration
Excellent leadership skills and a passion for customer experience
Valid State of Texas Drivers License witha good drivingRecord
Preferred
CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
NRPACertified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP)
Supervisory experience of both full and parttime staff
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge
Knowledge of recreation facility operations program coordination and customer service best practices in acommunity or municipal setting.
Knowledge of principles related to parks and recreation kinesiology or exercise science with an understanding of program design wellness initiatives and public engagement.
Knowledge of safety and risk management protocols within recreation environments including fitness areas child watch and event spaces.
Skills
Skill in customer conflict resolution with a focus on creating positive experiences and ensuringtimelyissue resolution.
Skill in administrative functions such as budget monitoringpurchasing and reporting.
Skill in using recreation management software (e.g.ActiveNet) and Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling registration communication and reporting.
Abilities
Ability to effectively lead and supervise fulltime and parttime staff including scheduling training mentoring and performance evaluation.
Ability to develop and deliver highquality programs and services that meet the needs of diverse patrons.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patrons staff vendors and internal departments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities adapt to shifting needs andmaintaincomposure in a fastpaced environment.
Ability to model excellent leadership skills anddemonstratea strong passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
