Schedule: MondayFriday 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (occasional evenings/travel as needed)
Reports to: HR Manager
Are you passionate about helping people navigate their benefits and leave options with care and clarity Were looking for a knowledgeable and detailoriented Benefits and Leave Specialist to join our HR team. In this role youll administer employee benefits and leave programs ensure legal compliance and serve as a trusted resource for Team Members across the organization.
Benefits Administration
Manage group benefit programs: health dental vision life disability and retirement plans.
Support Team Members during annual open enrollment and throughout the year.
Maintain benefits documentation and coordinate with external providers.
Ensure compliance with federal state and local laws.
Leave Management
Administer FMLA ADA short/longterm disability and other leave programs.
Track leave requests manage documentation and coordinate returntowork processes.
Act as a liaison between employees supervisors and thirdparty administrators.
Reporting & Compliance
Maintain accurate records for benefits leave and workers compensation.
Assist with audits and generate regular usage and compliance reports.
Stay informed of legal updates and ensure organizational alignment.
Communication & Support
Educate Team Members on benefits and leave policies.
Provide training to managers on leave procedures and compliance.
Promote wellness initiatives and a positive workplace culture.
Required:
2 years of experience in benefits and leave administration
Knowledge of FMLA ADA ACA workers comp and other employment laws
Proficiency with benefits administration platforms and HRIS systems
Excellent communication problemsolving and organizational skills
Preferred:
Bachelors degree in HR Business Admin or related field (or equivalent experience)
Certifications like SHRMCP PHR or CEBS
Bilingual in English and Spanish (a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools
Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally
Ability to move throughout different departments and locations
