Leidos is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of systems including conceptualization implementation testing quality assurance and adherence to timelines. This role requires a strong technical background leadership capabilities and the ability to manage complex projects effectively. The candidate must reside in the Maryland/Virginia region and be available to work onsite at one of our DMV office locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Systems Management: Oversee all systems ensuring their successful conceptualization implementation testing and quality assurance
Project Leadership: Manage timelines and deliverables for medium to large projects focusing on data processing or systems design and development
Technical Expertise: Work with a variety of computer operating environments packages and programming languages to ensure system functionality and efficiency
Information Security: Analyze and design complex systemwide information security requirements based on user needs policies regulations and resource demands
Team Leadership: Provide technical leadership and manage teams effectively fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with project goals
Risk Management: Identify assess and mitigate risks associated with systems development tasks ensuring project success
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from a currently accredited institution in computer science or related technical field with a minimum of (8) years of professional experience as an IT project manager with technical leadership in the analysis and design of computer systems and website design
Technical leadership in the analysis and design of computer systems and website design
Must have experience working with a variety of computer operating environments and computer packages and languages
Experience in the analysis and design of complex systemwide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user policy regulatory and resource demands
Management of systems development tasks including establishing and defining programs resources and risks on medium to large projects focusing on data processing or systems design and development
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in data processing and systems design
Familiarity with regulatory and policy requirements related to information security
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines
Clearance Required:
Must be able to successfully clear a Public Trust background determination during the course of employment
