Job Description
Global Engineering Services (GES) NA Ops Engineering is searching for an innovative and solutionsoriented engineering project leader to lead initiative of developing and delivering next generation worldclass sortation and transportation systems. The Firm Engineering Team will support retrofit designs for first mile retrofits as well as controls & solutions development to be used for future projects.

Were looking to add highimpact engineers to our team. In this role you will collaborate with internal and external teams to design highquality costeffective solutions for our fulfillment systems. Your projects will include retrofits for highly automated fulfillment centers and crossdock facilities.
You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fastpaced and often ambiguous environment. Our team works on hundreds of projects each year. You will be challenged; you will learn; you will work on high impact high visibility projects; you will grow.
This role requires up to 50% travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Relocation assistance may be provided.
Key job responsibilities
Coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the fulfillment network through equipment specification material flow process design site layout and intellectual property considerations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate highquality costeffective solutions in very short periods of time.
Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing negotiating and communicating with internal and external business partners contractors and vendors.
Effective communication skills ability to execute the vision detailed roadmap and specific technical solutions to make a compelling business case with senior executives.
Ability to travel 50% globally to interact with internal and external business and technical leaders.

Firm Engineering owns mechanical firm design for First Mile retrofits Middle Mile POR and Retrofits designs. The pillar also provides electrical controls and software integration support across all First and Middle Mile building types.

Bachelors Degree in Engineering Design or related field
3 years experience in a design related role
Ability to understand and validate design changes requested or proposed.
Ability to understand full system development life cycle working within broadly defined parameters including test plan execution and solution quality needs.
DesigninSafety experience
Experience with complex automated material handling equipment packaging technologies and systems including robotics and highspeed manufacturing. Similar design experience in other industries can be considered.
Able to communicate ideas effectively to achieve the right outcome for team and customer. Seek diverse perspectives listen to feedback and are willing to change direction if it creates a better outcome. Harmonize discordant views and lead the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus).
Masters Degree in Engineering Design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $157700/year in our highest geographic market.
