Job Summary
The Learning Experience Specialist is part of the EOD department which is dedicated to supporting an engaged innovative and competitive workforce and organization that is strategically positioned to enhance the effectiveness of Cal Poly and maximize the success of our students. Reporting to the Senior Director for Employee Experience and Organization Development the Learning Experience Specialist is responsible for supporting Cal Polys strategic goals by designing and developing instructional content leading and promoting the use of our learning management system (LMS) managing our website and social media presence developing strategic learning plans identifying and analyzing metrics including utilizing the LMS and campus people management platforms for reporting and assessing campus learning and development needs. The specialist actively coordinates and leads workshops activities and programs; manages reporting and data analysis efforts; partners with team members to align and continuously improve; and collaborates with campus stakeholders to advocate for a learning culture.
Department Summary
The Human Resources (HR) and Employee & Organization Development (EOD) departments within University Personnel at Cal Poly lead workplace strategies that enable our approximately 3000 employees (staff faculty and management) to thrive in their roles. Through traditional practices like recruitment benefits employee relations information systems and performance management to strategic practices like professional development organization development workforce planning and engagement HR and EOD are dedicated to cultivating the excellence of all employees.
Key Qualifications
Education and Experience
Equivalent to graduation from a fouryear college or university. Four years of technical or administrative experience. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a yearforyear basis.
Salary and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Range: $85000 $101340 Per Year
Classification Range: $66444 $120168 Per Year
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience skills knowledge abilities education licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position based on internal equity budget and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
