Job Description
Summary:
Our client is seeking a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer to join their team! This role will investigate power supply and systemlevel failures supporting both internal and external customers with a primary focus on clients in China and Taiwan. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in semiconductor failure analysis and be fluent in Mandarin and English.
Responsibilities:
- Debug and verify functionality of AC/DC switching power supply modules across multiple topologies
- Perform root cause analysis on power ICs during reliability testing production testing and power supply applications
- Isolate faults and characterize defects in analog and mixedsignal ICs
- Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports for product and power supply failure investigations
- Serve as a liaison between engineering and sales teams to support the resolution of customer quality issues
- Collaborate with customers in China and Taiwan to resolve quality concerns and maintain satisfaction
- Communicate technical findings clearly in both written and spoken formats for diverse audiences
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in failure analysis within the semiconductor industry
- Strong background in power semiconductor analog or mixedsignal IC failure analysis
- Familiarity with switchmode power supply applications and related integrated circuit components
- Ability to interpret systemlevel and IClevel schematics including CMOS and bipolar layouts
- Fluency in Mandarin (spoken written and reading) is required
- Strong proficiency in English especially for technical communication
Education/Certification Qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required
