You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team at a distinctive hospitality venue in Melliea. This role involves supporting the Head Chef in delivering highquality dining experiences that align with the venues themed events and seasonal offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mediterranean and barbecue cuisine and a flair for creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing diverse menus for daily operations and special events including weddings corporate functions and themed dinners.
Oversee kitchen operations ensuring consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation.
Manage inventory order supplies and maintain cost control measures.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff fostering a collaborative and efficient team.
Collaborate with the events team to tailor menus that enhance guest experiences.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a highvolume kitchen.
Strong knowledge of Mediterranean and barbecue cooking techniques.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required.
Formal culinary training or equivalent experience is preferred.
